For its « Stations & Automation » Department, the Operation of Wastewater Treatment and Sewerage Facilities is looking for an automation engineer (m/f).

Contexte

Igretec operates, on behalf of SPGE, wastewater collection networks, treatment and pumping stations as well as some storm basins in a territory covering 21 municipalities in the Charleroi region and South Hainaut.

Our teams manage on a daily basis 446 km of collectors, more than 150 pumping stations, 9 dewatering stations and 45 wastewater treatment plants, all controlled by industrial automation systems interacting with field equipment and remote monitoring equipment.

In addition to technical diagnostic interventions and programming improvement, the technical team is involved in the preparation of rehabilitation files for installations and in verifying the proper execution of subcontracted work.

In this context, Igretec is recruiting an Automation Engineer to strengthen its team and actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of the fleet of PLCs and supervisory systems.

Fonction

You will join a team of 5 people and carry out a variety of tasks, both in the field and in the office, covering the entire lifecycle of automation systems, from preventive maintenance to continuous improvement:

Technical Expertise and Operational Maintenance

  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting  : Perform in-depth technical diagnostics and intervene quickly to troubleshoot PLCs and supervisory systems (SCADA).
  • System optimization  : Ensure the optimization and reliability of automation programs to guarantee maximum performance of the works.
  • Interface consistency : Ensure perfect consistency between PLC programs and control interfaces, thus ensuring effective remote control and management.

Project Management and Modernization

  • Project management for rehabilitation  : Coordinate and manage electrical and automation modernization projects (from technical design to commissioning).
  • Proposed improvements  : Based on your analyses and in collaboration with the operations teams, propose and implement innovative technical solutions to improve operational efficiency.

In the future, you may be required to independently manage complete projects: analyzing the existing situation, writing specifications, monitoring the work and validating the proper functioning of the installations.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Teamwork  : Collaborate closely with operations teams for a thorough understanding of field needs and rapid problem resolution.
  • Knowledge sharing  : Actively participate in a dynamic of continuous improvement and sharing of expertise within the Directorate.

 

 

Profil

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in automation or electricity; electronics, etc., you have acquired initial professional experience in a similar role within an industrial environment.

You have mastered ordinary electrical aspects: reading plans, knowledge of equipment characteristics, skills and practical experience in working in industrial electrical cabinets, etc.

You have a good command of the hardware and software for SIEMENS brand PLCs as well as in-depth computer knowledge.

Knowledge of OMRON, ROCKWELL, SCHNEIDER, EWON, CIMPLICITY, KEPSERVER and ALERT brand equipment and software is an asset; as is knowledge of public procurement legislation.

Possessing good organizational and interpersonal skills, you are able to integrate into a team while working autonomously on certain tasks.

You have a category B driving licence.
